Future Programs
Gamikaan Bimaadiziwin (at Bug Lake) is home to the program service delivery of Indigenous Solutions. In partnership with Grand Council Treaty #3, we offer a wide range of culturally appropriate, land-based wellness programs and support services ranging from food security to traditional teachings and skills training.
Gamikaan Bimaadiziwin is not currently receiving referrals as we undergo further program and infrastructure development from the Autumn of 2022 through the Spring/Summer of 2023.
Sawmill Operations
Life training skills for independence and self-determination. Guided and expertly delivered training in sawmill operations, carpentry, forestry equipment, and operations opportunities.

Three Sisters Food Sustainability Program
The three sisters' seed-to-plate educational program focuses on the teachings that connect us to food as our fuel and understanding our connection to food through culturally safe practices. Produce and market food products to local markets and businesses.

Road Maintenance & Snow Removal Program
Road maintenance and snow removal training in partnership with Dunit Contracting, Miisun and Kenora District Jail.

Trapline Program
Our trapline program offers certification upon completion and is in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Foresty, Kenora District Services Board, Treaty Three Police and OPP.

Traditional Teachings & Ceremonies
Experiential and immersive learning of cultural and traditional land-based activities for individuals and organizations, including reconciliation training, cultural on-site training, summer day camps, medicine knowledge sharing, harvesting, survival skills training, daily reflection, ceremonies, elder talks, traditional land-based practices, storytelling, sharing circles, field trips, and drumming & dancing.
The program is led by the Indigenous Solutions Elder Council.
Turtle Lodge Roundhouse
The Roundhouse at Gamikaan Bimaadiziwin will have the potential for a wide range of users and uses. It will provide various economic opportunities to assist in the sustainable delivery model. Wrap-around service provision: braiding together a connection of existing services to support the justice and mental & physical needs of individuals through a multi-sector service approach and is supported by justice, mental health, addictions, and community partnerships.
